Lake Granby was created in the 1940's as part of the Colorado-Big Thompson Project. The Harvey family's 160-acre Circle H Ranch was located in the basin, which was flooded when the reservoir was built. The government purchased most of the Circle H homestead, and the family relocated to higher ground, building the Circle H Corral on the shores of the new lake.
The original Circle H Corral was a restaurant, bar, and inn. It included a large marina as well, so guests could boat right up to the property and have a meal at the restaurant. Over the next 6 decades, the Circle H Corral changed hands several times, but always kept the name "Circle H".
In 2013, the Circle H legacy ended when the property was sold and renamed "Mustachio's". It remained Mustachio's until 2019, when the restaurant and inn were shuttered, and the property was converted into a private home.
